It's like Facebook but SAFE and SECURE for students/teachers

This is AWESOME!  One of our teachers at AMCHS told me she is using it this year and I had to investigate!  What a great portal for learning!

It's much the same as Facebook except it is safe and secure for teachers and students.  Teachers must first create their own account then create groups for your classes.  When you create a group, you are given an access code for students to set up their accounts.  Students do not have to share an email address - that's optional.

Teachers can attach assignments, files, links, notes, alerts and polls.  They can be sent to individuals or groups (classes).  Students turn in assignments online and there is a built-in grade book for you to use while grading their online assignments, which would give you documentation of these assignments as well as the ability to printout and transfer into Pinnacle grade book.

Additionally, you can connect with teachers at your school or invite others to join a group.  You can share files!!!  Even if you don't use this with students, this gives you the ability to easily access your files at home and school.  Better than emailing them back and forth to each other!  The link to the main site is http://www.edmodo.com/home.  Additionally, I suggest you print a copy of the Guide found at http://www.edmodo.com/guide/.
